Can’t log in to Facebook even after “verifying” phone number. What’s up?
I was not allowed to log in to Facebook until I texted them from my cell phone – then when I did, I still cannot log back in. Facebook is saying
“To continue, we need you to provide your mobile phone number. This quick security check helps keep Facebook a community of real people who connect and share using their real identities. If you ever lose your password, you’ll also be able to use your mobile number to access your account.”
However, after that it says “Your account is already verified.” where it had been telling me what I needed to text from my phone to verify the account. Below that is a button which says “Confirm” and when I press it a screen comes up which says “Please provide a response for the security check.”
I know that Facebook is about as cool as syphilis after all of the changes that have made recently and that Google will eventually make a far superior social network in the next year or so, but I would really like to stop being so annoyed by this whole thing and figure out how to just get into my damn Facebook even though the people behind it are clearly retarded.

I’m having trouble accesing my facebook account. Facebook asked for my mobile number and they already sent me a confirmation code,which I typed in correctly. Now I am shown this:

Even though it clearly shows my account has already been verified,I cannot access it. WHAT RESPONSE FOR THE SECURITY CHECK??? I already typed in the correct code!

I don’t have a cell phone so technically Face Book doesn’t believe that I am a real person and it won’t let me play their facebook games. Go Figure.

I dont believe that, I dont have my cell phone number on my facebook, some people dont even have a phone, so how can they add their cell number.
Facebook also says in its main points that personal information can be made public “voluntarily”.
Otherwise post a screenshot of this exact error into the question, so I can see it.

I was asked to receive a text from facebook and input the unique code into my facebook confirmation page. I did this. Now when I log into my new account I receive this page…

No other options are given whatsoever. There is no where for me to go from this page. I’ve contacted FB – but of course no reply
It then asks me to press the confirm button. After doing this I view a red box and the sentence..:

Against my will, I was asked by Facebook to give up my mobile phone number or else – lose access to my Facebook account.
After I was forced to give up my mobile phone number, I got this error message.
It’s been more than 14 hours since I emailed Facebook about this issue. I have still yet to get a reply from them about this problem.
