Why is the sims 2 website not working?
i want to download more things for my sims but i cant because its not working here is the link http://thesims2.ea.com/ but it keeps telling me “We will be closing down the site for maintenance at 3:30 PM PST today. We apologize for any inconvenience and will have it back up as soon as possible.” but it been 3 weeks (i think) could some one tell me the ea sims 2 email so i can ask whats wrong or do you guys know why its like this

Did anyone notice that The Sims 2 website was back up today for, like, 3 seconds?
I was checking up on the web site like I’ve been doing sense I notice it was down, and it was online! I was really exited and got logged in and every thing when suddenly the page re-loaded. And it was back to the maintenance page! Did anyone else notice?

I did! I was like GREAT OMG! I logged in and then it refreshed and went back down. It’s up now but sometimes if you refresh it, it goes back to the trouble page……

I’ve been playing The Sims series since I was six years old, despite the rated T for Teen rating. I got The Sims 3 for Christmas, and had forgotten all about The Sims 2. I just installed The Sims 2 the day before yesterday because I miss writing stories and uploading them to the Exchange. There’s been rumor going around that The Sims 2 site shut down for ‘maintenance‘, but it’s been down for almost two months now. It makes me upset because I’m so eager to upload my stories for everyone to read, and the Exchange isn’t even up and running like it used to.
Does anyone know if the site is FOR SURE closed, or is it just really goof’d up to the point where it’ll take a while for the site to make a full recovery?

The site has been back up for about a week now, it seems that it doesn’t work for some people but it is working fine for me.

whats up with the sims 2.com?
so, like 3 or 4 months ago i went onto the sims 2 website and it said it was down for maintenance and would be up in about a week. so i checked back a week later and it still said the same thing. i havent played the sims 2 for about 2 months and i decided to play it now. when the launcher came up, the site STILL wasnt working. wth?? i have tons of other sites to download off of, but the ts2.com was where i always got everything. does anyone know whats going on?

The site says that it’s under maintenance. I think EA is lying to us. They’re probably trying to get us to play sims 3. Not happening u__u

Lots of sites do this, its just so they can check the site for any problems and a few other maintenence things. Try it again tommorrow
