Why is my Facebook account temporarily unavailable?
Whenever I attempt to log into Facebook I get this message:
“Account Unavailable
Your account is temporarily unavailable due to site maintenance. It should be available again within a few hours. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
Is anyone else having this problem? It has been this way for at least 15+ hours. What kind of maintenance could last 15 hours? All of my friends can log on. Hell even my mom can log on but I can’t… It’s personally annoying and I would love to know if anyone else is having this problem or if anyone has had the problem before how long did it last?

The same thing happened to me i am mad because lately i am have problems with facebook they deleted my account and now i can’t get on i tried logging on a different computer and it did not work maybe it is the severs if i find out something i will let you know

I have been waiting for ten minutes to log into Facebook, and it says the following Account Temporarily Unavailable.
Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes. A few minutes has turned into a lot of time.

It’s most likely site glitch and/or their doing site maintenance. It happens often with sites like facebook, myspace and netflix.
Another possibility is that your account could have been hacked and I would check your e-mail for that account. Although, I doubt that is the case.

I was talking to my friends on MSN and they said facebook is working just fine for them. I can’t access the help section either because I had left my facebook logged on. How do I fix it? =/

Facebook accounts are spread over a number of servers so if one server is down for maintenance not all accounts are effected.

Sometimes I get the same problem. Don’t worry, seems to be for all Users. I waited until more than a day, then be able to login again. While waiting, you can also contact to facebook team to get a solution quickly. Go to this form: http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=site_maintenance
